Maragata Julius Baer defeated Hípica Polo to win Copa Giorgio Moroni, first 22-goals tournament of Brazilian season. Champion team played with Ubajara Andrade (replaced João Gaspar M. Bastos after second match), Alexandre Junqueira, Luiz Paulo M. Bastos and Cachico Bastos. Runner-up squad had Luigi Cosenza, Gustavo Garcia, Aluísio Villela and Willian Rodrigues.
Final match was played on May 7th and after an 8-8 tie, Cachico M. Bastos scored the golden goal during the extra chukker. Alexandre Junqueira was elected final’s best player, while best playing pony award has been given to Xavena.

Since May 14th, five teams are playing for Aberto do Helvetia (Helvetia Open) trophy. Flamboyant, Hípica Polo, Invernada (current champion), Maragata Julius Baer and Tigres have joined this highlighted championship.
After a group stage, two teams will qualify for the final match of 22-goals tournament, to be played on June 4. Check full results and squads of the Aberto do Helvetia.

Brazil Polo Ranking
After first 22-goals tournament of the season, Alexandre Junqueira got the lead of 30jardas Brazil Polo Ranking 2016. Edition is updated with points from tournaments at São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul and Rio Grande do Sul.

Previously called Copa Helvetia, this tournament has been renamed as a tribute for Juracy Santos, a Brazilian player who unfortunately passed away in March. Championship had two editions (10 and 18-goals).
10-goals tournament trophy went to Mata Chica (Sergito Cardoso, Beto Junqueira N., Eduardo D. Junqueira and Rafael Villela). On 18-goals category, champions were Tigres (photo), playing with Ziza Meirelles, Wolff Klabin, Pedrinho Zacharias and Sylvinho Coutinho.

FIP has announced dates of 2017 World Championship, in Sydney, Australia. 11th edition will be played from October 17th to October 30th. Eight teams are expected to join the tournament, including host Australia and current champions, Chile.
South-American Qualifiers will be played at Uruguay, during late January or early February. Asia Qualifiers are scheduled to Thailand, while other regions are not defined yet.

Twelve teams are playing Queen’s Cup, 22-goal tournament in England. Brazilian Rodrigo Andrade joined RH Polo team, along Ben Soleimani, Ali Paterson and Nico Pieres.
Many of the main international polo players are on this championship, such as Adolfo Cambiaso, Facundo Pieres, Gonzalito Pieres, Pelon Stirling and Pablo MacDonough. Click here to check fixtures and squads.

Tigres 1959 has lifted Copa Andrea Moroni 14-goals trophy, after beating Tigres by 13-6 on May 15th. Tigres 1959 (Wolff Klabin, Ziza Meirelles, José Luiz Toledo and Guiga Lins) finished with three wins after four matches. Runner-up team, Tigres, played with Bruno Fuser, Fábio Estrela, Sylvinho Coutinho and Aluísio Villela.
Best player of the final match was José Luiz Toledo, while Mago was selected as the best playing pony. Check results and squads here.
